Standard file names

When  several translation projects share the same computer equipment, care must be taken to prevent mixing the text of the various translations. Standard file names and locations are useful in preventing this. Table [*] illustrates the various fields in the file names used by the Bible Society of India which has greatly simplified their support and maintenance of several Bible manuscripts being developed concurrently. In this system, there is only one chapter per file and the introduction is placed in a separate file with the extension INT. The abbreviations for languages and Bible books conform with the abbreviations used the financial database and the \id format code, respectively.
