Our NamesakePádraig H. Pearse

CUMANN NA SAOIRSE or "The Irish Freedom Committee" is a broad based  Irish Republican Organization which can trace its origins back to Padraig Pearse in 1912 under the name "Cumann na Saoirse" a republican political Society which was closely associated to An Barr Buaidh a republican newspaper which first appeared March 16, 1912 whose main contributors were P.H. Pearse, Eamonn Ceannt, Con Colbert and The O'Rahilly.

CUMANN NA SAOIRSE was again reborn in 1987, founded in support for the keystone Irish Republican Principle of Abstentionism from the house of the 26County assembly at Leinster House as well as any past or future Six County assembly at Stormont.  Both assemblies are bodies of the Partition, regardless of their locationsand both have proven to be no stepping stone to Irish National Unity.

The Irish Freedom Committee stands firm in support of this principle of Irish Republicanism until such a time that there is One Assembly representative of a True, 32 County, Irish Republic as Declared in Arms on Easter Monday, 1916 and as endorsed by the Irish People in the 1919 32 County election.

The Irish Freedom Committee
is open to all Irish, Irish Americans, and Irish republican minded activists and concerned people.  We seek all persons who want to restore Ireland her sovereign rights.
We seek workers who want to do their part for Ireland.

      Join The Irish Republican Movement
     in America!
