Currently I have several interests I'm trying to keep up with all at once, here is the short list (In no particular order...really)
1. Voice Lessons. (I've got high G down... C here I come.) Actually, I'm trying very hard to become a dramatic tenor...if you know what that is, you've done some singing. I've been in various groups since 1990, sung all the male voice parts now and then, and a few of the womens when those alto's just weren't manly enough.
2. Speaker Building. This has got to be the worst hobby for sucking up money and time. But man...you end up with some cool toys.
3. Bass Guitar. Boom.. thwacka boom. It's a lot of fun..and hey...bass players don't starve. I have a Jackson JPB-7 as my fretted and a Yamaha as a fretless. The Jackson is very nice, but it cost a lot too. The Yamaha is great for the price.
4. Job. (I spend the most time on this one and, hey it puts a roof over my head and food in my mouth it should probably go first, but I like to give the impression of being well rounded.) Actually, I'm one of those sickos who actually likes there job. I work for Radian International LLC .
5. Harmonica. Blues. I love it...eventually I'll put up some sound bites to prove to people that I can *actually* play. (For some unknown reason, most people associate harmonica playing with either John Popper..or Bob Dylan...maybe it's all those Platinum records.......John's fast and out of key...and Bob's out of key...who knows why? For real harmonica playing check out Gary Primich, Madcat, Guy Forsyth...there are a bunch out there.) I mostly play Lee Oskar major diatonics, and Hohner Special 20's. I have some others, but I don't like wood bodied harps that much. Splinters. You figure it out. Ouch.
6. House. Just bought one...where did I put that paint brush.
7. F.E. That's right, I'm studying...I've graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a B.S.E.E., but I want to have some initials after my name. Plus the respect of a P.E.
