First we visit the Athenian Agora, or market place. Typical to most cities of Ancient Greece the "Forum" was the center of commerce and trade throughout the city. |

This is the temple of Hephestos as seen from the Acropolis |

When we first come upon the Acropolis we notice the temple of Athena Nike. Dedicated to Nike after the Greek's win over the Persians. |

This is the Erechtheion. This building had two purposes. The eastern section was for the worship of Athena, and the western was dedicated to the cult of Erectheas. |

This is the porch of the Kores. It has no purpose but to display the six columns called Karyatides. |
