Creating CALL Activities for Online Learning
Instructor: Gail Shuster-Bouskila
Hi! I'm trying to get in touch with you!

COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES
The era of library material has not totally faded, but more sources of information can be found on the Internet almost everyday. Educators must realize the amazing tools available at our fingertips. Not only do we now have online journals, but we also can join communities of educators from around the world to consult with us.

Send us all a recommendation from one of the following:

An article of online shared with class from an online journal:
ETNI News
From Now ON
LanguageLearning and Technology_ Journal
London Publishers Agency - EFL Publishers Representative in Israel
Internet TESL Journal

Connect to the ETNI email list for "thread discussion" review to share with the class.

Get to know these other formats:

Asynchronous communication (forums and email)
Dave's ESL Cafe
Tower of English
eGroups
BOARDS 2 GO

Synchronous communication - where people can hold conversations with one another or "chat" while online

Instant Messaging Services - Netscape, AOL, Yahoo, MSN etc. (use a search engine to get information)
ICQ
HumanClick
SKYPE also provides a way to "meet online"
