• This lesson deals with how to create a page like the one below.  We have to understand how our students use the Internet, so we can make sure that they don't just "Click Their Way to an A".
• The topic of a recent lesson of mine was fads and crazes.  My 10th grade students were instructed to find 2 crazes or fads on the Internet, site the sources and describe the fad or craze they found.  These girls also pasted pictures onto their page.  (This paper has been copied exactly as my students wrote it.)
• As you read the work done by my students, consider how you'd  grade this assignment.  What was the value to the students in an EFL class?

       Barbie dolls were invented in 1959 by Ruth and Elliot Handler and ever since, little girls  all over the world are playing with them. Barbie has changed with the times. From little Suzy home maker to a doctor and even a rock star.
Barbie is a craze even though it  has been around for 40 years. Everytime Barbie has changed her image and became a new craze.

 Your assignment:

Choose a subject to search for in the Internet. (I'm teaching about animal rights, for example.)

Go to a search engine and type in the topic. (I suggest you use one of these search engines by clicking here SEARCH ENGINES FOR KIDS )

Find 2 sites related to your subject on the Internet.

In WORD give the name and the address of each site. Then describe each site you found.

Finally, at the end of your WORD document, write a short review of the article "Click Their Way to an A"!
