Sekhmet

SEKHMET - hidden, mysterious. She can be firm....Her requests are to be taken seriously, but She also has an ornery sense of humor. She loves to give you a problem and see how you figure it out.

Sekhmet told me over two years ago She'd like me to visit Her in Her temple someday, but I wasn't ready. Much to my surprise and delight, last year I discovered a Temple to Sekhmet in Cactus Springs, Nevada, and paid it a visit. The power and love radiating from the Temple reduced me to tears. As a very special friend put it, alot of my "shells" were stripped away that day.

Sekhmet has been portrayed as "the destroyer" but She is also a great healer. She is more than willing to help mankind, but She expects you to do most of the "help" yourself....She won't provide the answers.

[ I ]
I "saw" Sekhmet for the first time a little over a year ago. She appeared to me as a tall woman with very long, incredibly black hair down to her waist, dressed in a blood red gown. She had the ears and face of the lioness. The strong feelings of compassion and understanding that came from Her left tears in my eyes and joy in my heart.

I use a red candle and a spicy incense (like cinnamon) for Sekhmet.
