Yule
Yule is the Winter Solstice, the day when the Sun seems to stop its journey to the south and return toward the north in ever increasing strength, until Litha, where the process is reversed.
In the year as a day, Yule is midnight. It is associated with the direction of north. In the wheel of the year, Yule represents the planting of the seed.
