Cutter-Tam-Chieftan of the Wolfriders. Cutter took up leadership at a young age, when both his parents were killed by a magical beast known as Madcoil. Since then, he has recognized Leetah, had twin cubs, Ember and Suntop, and faced many struggles. He aged some 500 years while Leetah, Suntop, Ember and Skywise, his brother in all but blood traveled in the Palace to the future. He hated Rayek very much until Rayek challenged him to a fight, and they resoolved their hatred that way. He led the warriors in search for the Shards of the Palace of the High Ones. The last known thing to happen to him was in Shards 16, where he made the decision not to fly in the Palace, and return to the original holt.
Skywise-Fahr-Keeper of the Lodestone. Skywise loves the sky, and has always been fascinated by the stars. He's Abodes first astronomer. He shares his Soul name with Cutter, and the two of them are nearly inseperable. When Rayek stole the Palace of the High ones into the future, Skywise was taken with it, so while around 500 hundered years passed for the Wolfriders, only one night passed for him. He alone among the Wolfriders oppted for Leetah to cleanse him of his wolf blood. SKywise did not go with the Shard Warriors because Cutter wanted him to go with Embers tribe. The last known thing that happened to him was in Shards 16, in which Timmain taught him to fly the Palace of the High Ones but he apparently opted to return to the first Holt with Cutter and some of the Wolfriders.
Leetah-No Soulname-Healer. Leetah was born and raised in the Sun Village, an oasis in the middle of a burning waste. Her Recognition with Cutter changed her whole life and took her away from her pampered life as Healer to the Sun Folk. She to was taken with Palace when it traveled to the future, and she has not aged much since the first quest. Leetah went with Ember and her tribe during the Shards war. The last known thing to happen with her was that she would return to the Wolfriders first holt.
Nightfall-Twen-Huntress. Nightfall has always been very close to Cutter, and loves him in a way different than anything else. She is Lifemate to Redlance, and wanted a cub of her own so badly she had Leetah induce her Recognition with him. They had a cub named Tyleet. Nightfall went with Ember and her Tribe to Howling rock during the Shards war. The last known thing to happen to her was that she would return to the first holt with Cutter and the other Wolfriders.
Redlance-Ulm-Tree Shaper. All of Redlances Ancestors were tree shapers, and his own tree shaping powers did not manifest for a very long time, during which Redlance felt he was a failure. He kept the Forbidden Grove from burning down when humans tried to make it do so, and he and Nightfall invited Cutter to tree with them to help him deal with the grief of losing Leetah, Skywise and the Twins. HE went with Embers tribe during the Palace war. The last thing known that happened to Relance was that he was going back to the original holt, to the plant a seed from the father tree.
Strongbow-Wyl-Archer. Strongbow is one of the Wolfriders elders and for a long time did not think Cutter did a good job as chief. He was brother in all but blood to Bearclaw. He aged 500 hundered years before going into wrap stuff with the other Wolfriders to await the return of the Palace. He went with Cutter to get the Shards back, while his lifemate did not. The last known place Strongbow was seen was in Abode's future in the Palace of the High Ones.
Moonshade-Eryn-Tanner. Lifemate to Strongbow, and nearly the same age, she follows her Lifemate through thick and thin, and will stand with him even if she knows he's wrong. She spent 500 hundred years with the other Wolfriders during Kings of the Broken Wheel. While Strongbow went with Cutter to recover the lost Shards of the Palace of the High Ones. Moonshade went with Ember. The las known thing to happen to her is that she would return with Cutters tribe to the original Holt.
DewshineLree-Huntress.She and Scouter were Lovemates at a very young age, until the Wolfriders went to Blue Mountain and she recognized Tyldak, a elf with a body shaped to look half bird. She answered the calls of recognition with him, then left, still Scouters Lovemate. The cub she bore with Tyldak was raised as Scouter's cub. When Rayek learned to fly the Palace to a place beyond the Vastdeep Sea, Dewshine stayed in the Sun-Village to raise her cub. However after she spent 500 years there she went into wrapstuff as her kin across the Vastdeep Water did to await the Palaces return. After that, Rayek flew the PAlace to the sun village, and she returned with it. She went with Ember during Shards, and the last known thing that happened to her was that she is with Ember and her tribe at Howling Rock, with the human girl Gifa planning to poison them.
