Full Shred Thrash
The X-Men Cyclops and Phoenix are on the way to Muir Isle hoping to reach Profess or X.
Instead, they find themselves attacked by the techno-organic creatures called the Phalanx.
Their plane is crashed onto the isle's surface. Above, Wolverine is dropped onto the
island by his friend Harry. Wolverine is attacked in mid-air by the Phalanx called
Larissa, but Cyclops and Phoenix manage to save him before they capture him. He tells them
that Professor X told him to meet him on Muir just in case. Across the globe, the leader
of the Phalanx, the demented Steven Lang plays with the captive X-Man Psylocke, trying to
find a way to stop the madness he began. Back on Muir, the three X-Men are running when
Cable appears. Jean explains that they must shut down Muir before the Phalanx can enter
into the systems. Jean also warns Cable that he is suspectible to infection by the Phalanx
because of his own techno-organic virus. While Cyclops and Wolverine protect their bodies,
Phoenix and Cable enter a psychic battle with the creatures. They are forced to mind-link
to stop the combined collection mind of the Phalanx, and in the process, Jean's thoughts
leak out of the time she spent in the future raising Cable. They continue to fight, but
their one mind to too powerful. They are thrown from the astral plane. Cable opens fire,
as Cyclops and Wolverine escape the complex. Hitting the power cells, the complex is
destroyed. The Phalanx reappear, converged in one-being. The X-Men fight back, and Harry
returns to pick them up. They destroy whats left of Muir.
Chapter 2, Cable 16
The Phalanx Sanction
Cable, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Phoenix arrive at Mout Everest, the Phalanx's base. Their
plane is destroyed, and the team crashlands on the mountainside. Inside the base, Lang
begins to subvert Psylocke, while Cameron Hodge watches. On the mountain, the X-Men make
their way up, finally reaching the summit and base. They ready themselves to enter the
base. Inside, Hodge is readying to kill Bishop, but Lang stops him. When Hodge leaves to
sulk, Lang finally reveals his plan to Psylocke: she will be the Phalanx's pawn, until
Hodge orders her to attack to Cable. When he does, Psylocke will be free and Lang will
allow her psychic powers to destroy the Phalanx psi-netword. With Phoenix's help, the four
X-Men enter the base, with Cable and Cyclops blowing up everything in sight. Wolverine
goes to release the captive X-Men, while the others attack Hodge. Wolverine is stopped by
some Phalanxes, but he slices them to pieces. Freeing the X-Men, they return to save the
others. That's when Hodge orders Psylocke to attack Cable, and she is freed from theri
control. Combining her powers with Phoenix and Cable, her psychic knife destroys the
psi-network and obliverates all the Phalanx around the world. Lang has seperated himself
from the Phalanx, but when the base starts to implode, Hodge manages to pull Lang down
with the base, while the X-Men escape.
