Plot -
At Turbo's apartment, the Warrior has finally revealed her secret identity to the man she
loves: Dalton Beck. But in truth, Dalton is really Firestrike, an operative of Joe
Silvermane sent to take the Turbo armor. Dalton has the gun pointed to Turbo's head, but
finds he can't kill her, he loves her. The two spend more time together over the next
week, and Firestrike can't finish the assignment. But when Turbo stops by one night, she
appears just in time to see Dalton putting on the Firestrike costume. She confronts him,
and he tries to explain. But Turbo lashes out, but Firestrike does not fight back.
Instead, he tells her the one thing she didn't want to her: he thinks he loves her. Turbo
grabs him, and drags him back to the firehouse, where the other Warriors are having a
barbeque. Turbo rips off Firestrike's mask, and leaves him to the Warrior's mercy. Turbo
flies away to Mike Jeffires's grave, who is her former partner. Turbo talks over her
sorrow with him, and Namorita appears, telling her that it was a mistake. Back at the
firehouse, Aegis attacks Dalton, blaming him for putting weapons in the hands of the local
gang members. But Dalton tells them he wants to help, and he's willing to help them finish
off Joe Silvermane. The team re-groups and decides to try out Dalton's plan. So later that
night, Firestrike goes back to the warehouse where he mets up with his team, Heavy Mettle.
But the team ambushes him, and he barely escapes. But after being thrown by Decibel's
sound, Heavy Mettle laughs at him, telling him it was all a joke. But when the team is
supposed to be highjacking a convoy, they get a nasty surprise. Before they can even stop
the truck, Namorita and Aegis appear, taking out both Decibel and Stronghold before they
even realize what hit them. Bolt attacks Barracuda, but the mercenary tries to hit him
with a metal staff. Bolt grabs the staff, channeling his electricity through it, knocking
Barracuda out. But Warbow manages to hit Speedball. Firestrike appears, and Warbow tells
him to finish Speedball off. Instead, Firestrike smacks Warbow half-way back to New York.
Firestrike's armor morphs, revealing it was truly Nova the entire time! Then, Turbo heads
off Blackwing in the forest, but the woman nearly get the best of Turbo. But Dalton is
there, tackling his former teammate. Dalton gives Turbo the opening she needs, and she
takes care of Blackwing. Turbo thanks Dalton, but grabs Blackwing and leaves before Dalton
can say anything. The police arrive, and take Heavy Mettle away. But before they leave,
Turbo grabs Dalton and turns him in as well. A month later, Turbo goes to the jail where
he is. Turbo tells him that maybe they could try again, once he gets out. But Dalton tells
her that the police need him, to put away Joe Silvermane. But the price he has to pay is
that he will be put in the witness protection program. He'll never be able to Turbo again.
Turbo leaves the jail, she starts to cry. Across the country, in Seattle, Danny Rand, the
hero called Iron Fist, is attacked by a bunch of mysterious ninjas. And suddenly, Night
Thrasher appears, to help fight off the bad guys! |
