Guard Uniforms

A brief note about the uniforms

This item was originally made as a commission for Streng of Half-Circle Sea Hold, who wanted uniforms for Half-Circle's first guard, second guards, and regular guards. In starting to work up descriptions for these uniforms, I realised that there really had to be just one parent object, whose children objects could easily be adjusted into first, second and general guard uniforms. In addition to being customizable according to the rank of the guard, the uniform can also be customized according to the colours of the Hold which the guard belongs to. The 'being worn description will also differentiate according to whether the wearer has the front of the uniform tunic buckled closed or unbuckled and open.

General Guard's Uniform (Nerat Hold colours)

Basic Description

This guard's uniform consists of a leather tunic and golden yellow suede pants. The tunic is of stiff wherhide, dyed the bright orange of Nerat Hold. It crosses over at the left side of the wearer's chest, and can be fastened with a buckle attached at the left shoulder. A wide golden yellow wherhide belt cinches the tunic at the waist before it falls to just below the hips. A band of golden yellow fabric is sewn to each elbow, and a swath of bright orange flax is tied around each knee of the golden yellow trousers. A guard's insignia adorns the right breast of the tunic. The lavender and white badge of the Weavercraft has been sewn inside the collar, with the tiny words Apprentice Crafted.

Being Worn Description

<Name> is wearing the leather tunic and golden yellow suede pants which comprise his/her guard's uniform. The tunic is of stiff wherhide, dyed the bright orange of Nerat Hold. It crosses over at the left side of his/her chest, and is fastened with a buckle attached at his/her left shoulder. A wide golden yellow wherhide belt cinches the tunic at his/her waist before it falls to just below his/her hips. A band of golden yellow fabric is sewn to each elbow, and a swath of bright orange flax is tied around each knee of the golden yellow trousers. His/Her right breast is adorned with a guard's insignia.

Second Guard's Uniform (Half-Circle Seahold colours)

Basic Description

This second guard's uniform consists of a leather tunic and white suede pants. The tunic is of stiff wherhide, dyed the medium blue of Half Circle Sea Hold. It crosses over at the left side of the wearer's chest with a squared-off collar, and can be fastened with a silver buckle attached at the left shoulder. A wide white wherhide belt adorned with four evenly spaced silver roundels cinches the tunic with a silver buckle at the waist before it falls to just below the hips. Two bands of white fabric encircle each of the lower arms of the tunic, and a swaths of medium blue flax are tied around each knee of the white trousers. A second guard's insignia adorns the right breast of the tunic. The lavender and white badge of the Weavercraft has been sewn inside the collar, with the tiny words Apprentice Crafted.

<Name> is wearing the leather tunic and white suede pants which comprise his/her second guard's uniform. The tunic is of stiff wherhide, dyed the medium blue of Half Circle Sea Hold. It crosses over at the left side of his/her chest with a squared-off collar, and hangs open casually, a silver buckle dangling loosely at his/her left shoulder. A wide white wherhide belt adorned with four evenly spaced silver roundels cinches the tunic with a silver buckle at his/her waist before it falls to just below his/her hips. Two bands of white fabric encircle each of the lower arms of the tunic, and swaths of medium blue flax are tied around each knee of the white trousers. His/Her right breast is adorned with a second guard's insignia.

First Guard's Uniform (Ruatha Hold colours)

Basic Description

This first guard's uniform consists of a leather tunic and dark brown suede pants. The tunic is of stiff wherhide, dyed the bright red of Ruatha Hold and edged in dark brown fur. It crosses over at the left side of the wearer's chest with a squared-off collar, and can be fastened with a gold buckle attached at the left shoulder. A wide dark brown wherhide belt adorned with four evenly spaced gold roundels cinches the tunic with a gold buckle at the waist before it falls to just below the hips. Four bands of dark brown fabric encircle each of the arms of the tunic, and bright red fabric the legs of the dark brown trousers. A first guard's insignia adorns the right breast of the tunic. The lavender and white badge of the Weavercraft has been sewn inside the collar, with the tiny words Apprentice Crafted.
