Basic Description
These unisex overalls are of a sturdy blue flax. Loose-fitting
for easy movements and gathered at the ankles, they have big pockets at
the hips and one on the front of the chest. The straps cross at the back
and button at the front on the top of the chest flap. The front pocket
is graced with intricate, bright beadwork in the form of a green
firelizard, wings outstretched. A lavender and white badge is sewn
inside the chest flap with the words Apprentice Crafted.
Detail of Firelizard on Front Pocket
Dozens and dozens of several different shades of green beads have been
intricately sewn into the front pocket. They create the dazzling form of
a firelizard, with wings outstretched as if in flight. Her eyes are not
beaded, but skillfully embroidered in cotton threads of blue and green.
Her sharp little talons have also been embroidered, in a
black thread. The curvy green-beaded tail ends in a little pointed tip.
