Biollante

Biollante was issued by Bandai in 1992. It measures approximately 7" tall. Unlike most of the figures from this series, which had a tag attached to them, Biollante was boxed instead. The figure is molded in green vinyl and is pretty static beyond the movable vine-like limbs.
Biollante originally sold for about $60.00 in the west, which at the time seemed like a lot of cash to blow on a vinyl toy. Now Biollante commands prices upward of $200.00, which is most definately too much to spend on a vinyl toy.

Bandai has also offered a variety of small candy toys which depict Biollante in detailed and comically proprtioned figures. Trendmasters, too, produced a few Biollante figures. Most of their Biollante figures have legs which, according to Trendmasters reps, make the charicter more marketable for the western audiance. Trendmastes did offer one "stump" version with their micro playset line.
