When Samantha disappeared she was eight years old, and Fox twelve."It tore the family apart", he told Scully. "No one would talk about it". Fox himself repressed the incident, until his hypnotic regression sessions with Dr.Heitz Werber, the man who took him through hypnotic regression in 1989, freeing his confused memories, and since that time, Mulder has seen tantalizing glimpses and himts of his fate. In "Miracle Man" a faith healer, known as "Samuel", hinted that his sister may still be alive, and in "Duane Barry", a self-proclaimed abductee told Mulder that children were often seen in the alien ships, undergoing painful tests. When a woman appeared in "Colony" and "End Game", claiming to be Samantha the mystery seemed to be solved, Mulder risked his life to discover the truth about her. However, in the end his quest raised more questions than answers, but still he had found one thing he needed: faith to keep looking.
