Over the last 2 months the meetings of the U.S.S. StarQuest
have been generally unattended, with only Liz, Neil and myself meeting
at Dave's house. Liz, Neil, Jon, Alan, Bo and I were involved in
the recent 4th of July Parades along with friend David Schubert and Commander
Paul Stacy and I commend all for their involvement.
Minutes are no longer kept or posted, so therefore I
have begun this "Captain's Report" to keep track of the activities of the
U.S.S. StarQuest.
---Yet another thing I have to do to keep the club viable.
My life is very complex and I don't have time to waste
with a club that struggles to exists, dispite the work that I do maintaining
the webpage, cooresponding over the internet and by phone, organizing and
attending events, conducting meetings and so on.
I need help maintaining the website, conducting the meetings
and running the club...
IT IS NOT A ONE MAN SHOW, this is a GROUP, EVERYONE needs
to think of things to contribute to each meeting, and to the club.
WE are the club, not ME.
If I am the only one contributing, then I get nothing
out of it, then why should I be there?
I want to hear what YOU have heard about Sci-Fi, so I
get something out of the meetings, too!
To be honest, if involvement by others doesn't improve,
I will have to quit and the club will fold again.
