William Arnold would very much like to be recognized for more than the guitar-hero pyrotechnics of his years with American Power Metal band Vanquish, but doesn't mind being sucked back into the mold from time to time. Sophomore solo album opens with "Rise Up," a headbanger of a first order, with face melting solos. The quality branching out begins, however, with a pair of fingerpicking instrumentals "Thriving Piece" and "Transitional" and the infectious swinging jazz-blues of "Blues In The Morning." The deeper cuts is where William really begins to diverge from the norm, with synthetic pap like "Search Deep Inside" and the ballady, gushily optimistic "Faith Ruins All" and "Heaven Is In You"
