May 24, 2003: Acolyte's Camp-in & Sports fest Awarding...

It was another fun-filled and joyous activity. Most if not all of the acolytes attended. We had our assembly time at 8:00 p.m.. After minutes of waiting for everyone, Rev Fr. Arnie Visitacion then gathered us for a prayer followed by a short meeting and welcoming. Fr. Arnie reminded us of the things he should expect from us and to cooperate to the officers so that the activity would be a success. Afterwards, the officers headed by Michael Clitar initiated the activity with Fr. Arnie supervising.

The first part was parlor games. Parlor games like Planting rice, Thug-of-war, Picture it, Longest line and Statue dance. And after much enjoyment we had the question and answer portion. Questions related to the lives of saints and many others were given to us. Answering was on a first-come first-serve basis.

We had our snacks afterwards. Pat Mayol's parents donated juice drinks and bread for us. Thank you very much. Most of the boys brought also their own snacks. The night was filled with snacks for everyone and to share with others even up to in the morning. After eating our snacks we headed towards the main altar fronting the tabernacle to pray for the Holy Rosary, Fr. Arnie was with us also. Right after the Rosary we had a vcd film showing - The Lord of the Rings 2. We had it at the newly constructed conference room. Since the film was a three-disc, we only got to view the first disc at that nights because it was already around 12 midnight. We all slept at the new conference room

In the morning, most of us woke up around 6:00 a.m.. We did some cleaning and arranging some of our things. Around 7:00 a.m. we, together with Fr. Arnie headed towards the Angel's Eatery - owned by Nanay Ging2x, mother of our fellow acolyte, Mark "Koko" Go. We had rice, egg, and longanisa for breakfast. Each of us prepared P20.00 for payment but at the last minute Fr. Arnie told us to save our money because he will be the one to pay for all the costs. Yehey! Thank you very much Fr. Arnie.

After having our breakfast, the awarding ceremony followed. Winners for the last night's parlor games were being awarded with school supplies and some money as their prizes. Then the most important in the awarding was for the Sports fest. ***Names of winners will follow. Everyone was a winner! Thanks to everyone.
