Zoro is the swordsman and the first member of the crew, his dream is to be the greatest swordsman in the world and he's my fav character!!! He has green hair(funky) and black eyes, three earrings on his left ear, normally a bandana tied around his arm, and three swords. Most people think Zoro as lazy, he is known to take naps at odd times and places as well as all through the day, but he trains more then he sleeps (and that�s saying something) and is very reliable when needed. In book 7 pg. 46 it says Zoro is 19 but I've read that in a interview with Oda Eiichiro he gave Zoro's age as 17. B-day: Nov. 11 on Sasori Island.
In the US, this character is named "Zolo", however all official product and listings out of Japan list his name as "Zoro", which is what Oda Eiichiro named him.
I will be the Best!When Zoro was still young he went to the nearest dojo and challenged who ever was the best student to a fight, he was surprised to find it was a girl, Kuina the dojo's master's daughter. If Zoro won he got the dojo's sign if he lost he had to become a student, he lost and had to become a student. Zoro trained every day until he could use two swords and could beat every one, every one except Kuina. 2000 times he tried and failed for the 2001st match they agreed to use real swords once again Zoro lost and got furious at him self for not being able to win, when Kuina made a confession her father wasn�t going to hand down the dojo to her because she was a girl and it would be harder for her as a swordswoman. This is when they made the promise that one of them would become the greatest in the world. However some time after Kuina fell and was killed, Zoro was given her sword and continued his training until he set out to continued their dream. Now with three swords.
Three Swords?!Zoro's three swords are The Wado Ichimonji, The Straight Road of Peace(the white sword Zoro got from Kuina); Kitetsu The Third, it's cursed(Red Sword); and Yubashiri, Snow Chaser(Black Sword)
Bandana and earrings:Zoro normally a bandana is tied around his arm but when he puts it on he's serious about fighting so watch out. I find that the three earrings on Zoro's left ear singnafies his tree swords.
