The Log mentions Ross, Barney and Wally. The pilot Joe usually flew with was a F/O Charlton, so I tried "Ross Charlton" in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Web Site. Results!

Sad, but gratifying.  Figuring that the other two would be in the same cemetery, I scanned the list of other Commonwealth graves but there were no Barneys or Wallys to be found. So I did a " Find in Page" using the date of death as the search criterion and...

Again, a nickname, this one based on his given name.

The others I found through a book called 'They Shall Grow Not Old", a compilation of all Canadian airmen killed in WWII. I found this book at the  Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton.
