Skanor, Sweden

Skanor is located pretty much at the Southern tip of Sweden and was a quiet fishing village in1945. Now it is a busy tourist town, not unlike Niagara-on-the-Lake. Gift shops and patisseries line the main street and flocks of tourist stroll the streets and beaches in the summer. There are several golf courses and in the fall and spring huge migrations of birds pass through on their migration between Scandinavia and southern Europe. Walking the beach I was very aware that this is where Joe's crew mates washed up.
