Q is the backbone of R-I6. The organization literally could not exist without this genius of a man. Of course, one would think that Q could easily become famous and would want everyone to call him by his real name. To this he replies that Q is his name, it always has been, and it always will be, no matter how well-known he is. Q heads up Q-Branch in R-I6. He comes up with all of the gadgets that R-I6 agents may need and makes sure that they are built by his fellow engineers. Before he even tells anyone else about his plans for a new gadget he logs them in his Q files. During the course of his lifetime he has created over 194 vehicles and 738 gadgets. Of that number, 35 vehicles and 74 gadgets alone have been broken beyond repair by 00 Agent James Wampa. Q fears his gadgets' safety while they are in the furry paws of Wampa. Despite many warnings and threats from Q, Wampa still manages to destroy all of the newest technological innovations given to him. Over time Q has accepted the fact that once Wampa has his gadgets he will never again see them in one piece. He looks at it this way: People must take responsibility for their actions. And Q being the one who recruited Wampa into R-I6 in the first place, of course the accomplished, furry agent is his responsibility, and will be to the end of his days. |
