Pizza & Movie Night
January 28, 2006

Look at that yummy pizza and wings!  Our second annual pizza and movie night was enjoyed by all that attended.  We watched two movies, The Others and Skeleton Key, taking a break in between to dig into all that cheese and meaty goodness.  What more could a group of pagans ask for than two creepy movies and good food!
Imbolc Open Circle
February 5, 2006

Nearly 30 people came out to celebrate Imbolc on a cold and windy Sunday afternoon. After a little snow-banishing, we all entered the outdoor ritual space to celebrate and work a little future manifestation magick using Earth and the cauldron.
After ritual, we all hurried back inside the house to warm up and enjoy the many tasty treats, drinks and conversation.   Happy Imbolc!
Chocolate Festival
March 12, 2006

Chocolate, chocolate everywhere, and boy, did we stuff ourselves with it!  This event was a fundraiser for our Health & Healing Fair that we will be sponsoring on April 8th at the Airport Holiday Inn.
Three presentations - history & religion of chocolate, medicinal chocolate and fortune-telling with chocolate - were all great hits, followed by an awesome meditation which utilized 4 of the 5 senses to immerse us all in chocolatey heaven!

By the way, if you look close enough, you can see our nifty chocolate fountain!  Chocolate-covered creme-puffs anyone??
The Coven of Sangha-Sho's 2nd Anniversary!
March 19, 2006

The Coven of Sangha-Sho is 2 years old!
We celebrated with cake and ritual and reminisced about the past couple of years with all its events, rituals and the people who have both come into our circle/lives and left it.
We wish everyone Health, Happiness, Long Life, Virtue and Peace this coming year.
Ostara Open Circle
March 19, 2006

We celebrated Ostara with a full house today! About 25 people crowded into the covenstead's parlor and joined in on welcoming spring. We meditated on our own connection to the Earth and our creative potentials for the upcoming months.
Delicious goodies and social time followed until nearly 4pm.
Happy Ostara!
Green Party!
March 26, 2006

Many shades of green this year at our 2nd annual Green Party. We showed Mother Nature how it's done by donning green clothing and bringing tasty green treats! About 10 people showed up to celebrate, chow down and socialize. We also played a great game of Cranium that was REALLY close at the end. How appropriate that the green team won! Happy Spring!
Health & Healing Fair
April 8, 2006

A wonderful day of healing, workshops and vendor browsing! Our first ever Health & Healing Fair went off without a hitch! Next year, we're planning an even bigger event at a bigger venue! Be sure not to miss it!
Earth Day Retreat Weekend
April 21, 23, 2006

Even though it was windy and rainy Friday night through Sunday, we all had an awesome time this weekend. The workshops were all extremely interesting! Here's a list:

Whips & Chants: A Journey of BDSM and ritual
Animal Totems
Tarot and the Tree of Life
Spirit Journaling
Reflexology
Candle Magick
Health & Chanting in Yoga
Swedish Massage Strokes
Aura Cleansing & Chakra Balancing
Journey into Past Lives
Hidden Mysteries in Christianity
A Journey Into Kabbalah
The Medicine Wheel

On sunday, after all workshops were finished, we had our group divination which focused on questions of the upcoming changes on Earth and changes in the Pagan community at large.

We also had a wonderful Earth Day Ritual on Sunday night with dancing, chanting, singing, healing and meditation.

A closing ritual was also done Sunday afternoon that focused on thankfulness, reconnecting and the simplicity of a Wiccan life.
Beltane Open Circle
April 30, 2006

30 people came out to celebrate with us this year! The weather was perfect - sunny and warm. The ritual was lovely, focusing on fertility of the earth and within ourselves. We were given eggs with an animal inside, a special message about that animal's gifts and also a flower bulb that will bloom white with a red center (very appropriate for this Sabbat!)  Feasting and social time followed as well as some sunbathing on the lawn.
A truly perfect day!
Litha Open Circle
June 21, 2006

Litha was led on a beautiful, clear evening at the covenstead. About 22 people joined us to celebrate this Sabbat, as we empowered coins to drop into the Well of the Goddess and make a petition for healing and/or help.
Following ritual, we enjoyed lots of yummy snacks and laughed and socialized well into the evening. A beautiful night and a beautiful ritual.
Lammas Camping Trip
July 28 - 30, 2006

This year's Lammas Camping Trip was a bit on the soggy side. We managed to have a nice "connecting" ritual on Friday night, but it rained nearly every after that and our Lammas Ritual had to be cancelled due to a really severe thunderstorm on Saturday. Many of us packed up our waterlogged tents and headed home early to dry out and put on DRY clothes for a change.. Maybe we'll have better luck next year.
Lammas Open Circle
August 6, 2006

Our Lammas ritual was originally supposed to be on July 29th, but due to a really bad thunderstorm we had to reschedule for the following Sunday.

About 20 people joined us to celebrate at the covenstead, in the hot sunshine. The lesson focused on sacrificing those things which no longer serve our spiritual path. Gifts of Lammas wreaths were presented by the Goddess Ceres, a brief meditation followed and then everyone scooted back into the house to cool off in the a/c.
Mabon Open Circle
September 24, 2006

Happy Mabon! Nearly 30 people gathered to celebrate Mabon with us on a beautiful breezy & sunny day. The ritual was led by two members of the coven who enacted a ritual-drama as part of the working and focused on the need for feminine and masculine balance to bring forth abundance.

After the ritual, a huge solar cross was formed from various tables and the feast was laid out for all to partake. The tables were loaded with lots of fantastic salads, casseroles, breads and delicious desserts. We stuffed ourselves with much enthusiasm and laughter and had a wonderful time!
Halloween Party!
October 31, 2006

Our Halloween Party this year was a little more intimate this year. Only 9 people attended, but the majority were in costumes so it made up for it. There were rune readings, pizza and a very yummy pudding graveyard dessert.
Happy Samhain!
Hanfasting Ritual
November 18, 2006

45 people gathered with us to celebrate the handfasting of one of our coven sisters. The ceremony took place outside in a local park with two streams of water surrounding the ritual site. The portents were good as a hawk, ducks and later a heron flew over.

Following the ritual, we all scurried back to the lodge to warm up and enjoy a wonderful assortments of tasty dishes and handfasting cake.

We wish the happy couple a wonderful life together filled with all of the Sho Blessings -
Health, Happiness, Virtue, Long Life and Peace.
Stone Soup Party!
December 9, 2006

Our 3rd Annual Stone Soup Party was a very delicious affair! Only 7 people attended, and those that didn't...well, they don't know what they missed! The soups were both yummy, the games were full of laughter and silliness and we even did a Yule tree blessing during the evening!
Yule Open Circle
December 21, 2006
We celebrated Yule with a parlor packed full of people this year. The ritual was beautiful, focusing on the re-birth of the Sun. We spent cakes & ale telling Yule stories and after ritual, we had plenty of yummy snacks and desserts followed by our annual Gift & Ornament Exchange!
Blessed Yule!
