Three pictures of the Archangel Michael

The Archangel Michael is one of select few who have been included in the modern bible.  Most of the angels who populated early Christian bibles have been systematically removed from the cannon of accepted scripture.  Michael however remains, but much of his attributes remain hidden in odd hard to find scriptures.  He is chief of the order of virtues, prince of the presence, ruler of the fourth heaven, chief of archangels, the angelic prince of Israel, angel of repentance, righteousness, and mercy.  In Islamic writing he is called Mikhail.  In the Catholic religion he is known as the angel who appeared to the Virgin Mary, and told her of her impending death.  Different sources state that he was the angel who stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac, the burial of Moses, and visiting Abraham along with two other angels, on their way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.
