| * This is a map of Japan. Toyooka is located in Hyogo Prefecture, which in turn is in the Kinki Region of the main island of Honshu. Kinki is officially defined as the prefectures of Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto, Mie, Nara, Shiga, and Wakayama. The term "Kansai" is used much more frequently than "Kinki," but it usually brings to mind the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe (Keihanshin) tri-city area.
