Upney Royal Oak F.C.  vs  Cromer Park F.C.
(Game Postponed)

Upney Royal Oak's winning start to this season was temporarily put on hold, as administrative cock-ups prevented this first round cup clash from being played.

As the time approached 1.50, it was apparent that the match referee had yet to make an appearance.  Frantic phone calls to league officials from both teams were in vain as the appointed referee had apparently only just returned from holiday and was in bed.  As a result, the cup tie could not be played, dashing the hopes of Ellis, who was given a place in the starting line up for the first time this season by Mickey Carmody.

In order to appease the spectators who had turned out in force for the second week running, an inpromptu kick-about was hastily arranged amongst the team.  The Upney team resplendent in the new red and black strip, proceeded to produce an exhibition of footballing skills for the watching crowd, followed by an early visit to the Royal Oak.
