The condition of the above deed is such that if the above named Robert Moorehead, his heirs ... ... shall well and truly pay to said Samuel Yarnell, his heirs ... . the sum of $330 on or before 1st day of June 1835 with lawful interest from this date that being the amount of a promissory note bearing even date herewith given by said Moorehead to said Yarnell then and in that case this deed and everything herein contained shall be void. Otherwise remain in full force and virtue in law. 19 August 1833.

Indenture between Samuel Yarnell of Plain Twp., Wayne Co. and Henry Smith of Montgomery Twp., Richland Co.
S. Yarnelle [sic] hath demised, granted and leased E 1/2 SE 1/4 Sec 5 T 22 R 15 - 80 acres - for 5 years from 1 April 1842 - Henry to erect a hewn log barn 58 feet long by 25 feet wide with a shed 10� wide which shed shall extend the whole length of the aforesaid barn. The barn is to be 17� high, with a stone foundation under it, to be covered with shingles, and to make a floor of oak plank 35� long by 18� wide in it, to take for the hewn logs such timber that will flat one foot at least the Barn, to have a stable in it at one end of it and the whole to be finished in a workmanlike manner. To cover house with shingles and to build or cause to be built a brick chimney within the house and to keep the fences on farm in good repair, and not sow more than fifteen acres to fall or winter grain the last year and not to cut or cause to be cut any more green timber only what is necessary for the completion of the aforesaid buildings. ... Samuel Yarnell ..... shall have full and peaceable possession on 1st April 1847.

Daniel Yarnall and Barbara Yarnall his wife, and Samuel K. Funk and Nancy Funk his wife --- for $2,400 to Samuel Yarnall -- East part NW 1/4 Sec 31 T15 R13 (Virginia Military School Lands) -- 49-7/8 acres - also W 1/2 NE 1/4 said section 31 - 80 acres - being the same premises quit claimed to us by Philip Yarnall of Henry County by deed dated 3 March 1846 with the understanding of the parties to said deed at the time of its execution though not so inserted in said deed that said conveyance was made to said Yarnall and Funk in trust for the heirs of said Philip Yarnall.
