Yarnell Inscriptions in Snow Hill Cemetery, Hamilton Co., Tennessee

The old Yarnell Cemetery is twenty five miles northeast of Chattanooga in
Hamilton Co., Tenn. Follow the Harrison Pike eighteen miles north to the
Leamon Store, then right on the Oak Valley road for two miles. The land for
the cemetery was given by Dr John L Yarnell, but is now owned by Mr B Z
Davis. There are about twenty unmarked graves, and the cemetery is not very
well kept.
- Sallie Roddy, daughter of J.L. and R.E. Roddy - 17 July 1878 - 1 Feb 1880.
- Zerelda T. Roddy, wife of Thomas H. Roddy and daughter of John L. and Jane
Yarnell - 8 July 1836 - 7 July 1855.
- Isabell J. Smith, wife of R.K. Smith - 17 May 1849 - 27 Jan 1870.
- I. J. Yarnell - 16 Oct 1816 - 21 Dec 1892.
- Dr. John L. Yarnell - 7 Nov 1805 - 22 March 1870.
- Latamore Yarnell, son of J.L. and J. Yarnell - 28 May 1839 - 28 March 1840.
- William E. Yarnell, son of W.H. and Dollie Yarnell - 5 Nov 1879 - 19 Jan 1881.
- William H. Yarnell - 14 Nov 1854 - 17 Jan 1881. (transcript says 1884, but
gravestone actually says 1881.)
