Matthew David Yarnell

Matthew David Yarnell, age 26 of Jersey City, New Jersey, died September 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center, Manhattan, New York City, New York.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (HS '97) in Pittsburgh, Penn., Matthew was vice president of technology, Fiduciary Trust International, in the World Trade Center. He worked on the 97th floor of Tower Two.

Matt's quiet outward appearance masked a lively wit and intelligence. He had a vivid sense of humor, was smart -- beyond smart -- and was blessed with a thoughtful, caring demeanor. He was the oldest of three children in a warm, close-knit family. He was a graduate of Kinnelon High School, Kinnelon, New Jersey, which has set up the 'Matthew Yarnell Scholarship Fund' in his memory.

He is survived by his mother, Michelle Yarnell; father, Ted Yarnell; one brother, Brian Yarnell and one sister, Lindsey Yarnell, and left behind his girlfriend, Angela Tsuei.
