Obituary for Malcolm Carver Yarnall

Former Myerstown resident Malcolm Carver Yarnall, 99, of Woonsocket, R.I., died May 11, 2003, in the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 22, 1903, in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles I. and Mary Carver Yarnall. He was raised in Myerstown and was a 1921 graduate of Myerstown High School. He was the former husband of Emily Horman and the late Doris M. Yarnall. He worked on road construction for Lane Construction Co., Meriden, Conn. and other road companies before retiring. During World War II, he worked as a shipfitter on "Liberty Ships" at the Walsh/Kaiser Shipyard in Providence, R.I.

Surviving are daughter Dea Yarnall MacKinnon of Cumberland, R.I., a grandson and brother Elsworth W. Yarnall of Georgia. A graveside service was held Aug. 16, 2003 at the Thomas Cemetery, Swansea, Mass. Arrangements were by Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, West Warwick, R.I.
