Obituary for Linford T. Yarnall

Linford T. Yarnall, age 73, a retired maintenance man, died Saturday, November 8, 1986 at his home in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.

Born in Philadelphia, he lived in East Lansdowne for 35 years and in Drexel Hill for the last 42 years. He graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1933. He worked in maintenance at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill for 10 years, and before that he was a meat cutter in Narberth for 25 years at Kerner's Market.

He was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church, Drexel Hill. He was also a member of Concordia Lodge, a member of Delhigrotta and a member of the Upper Darby Square Club. He was instrumental in the creation of the Upper Darby Police Vest Fund and active in fund-raising in Springfield Lodge.

Survivors: wife, Adeline Edna Sweet; daughters, Carol Semans, Adeline Griffith and Charlotte Higgins; a son, Linford H; a sister; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services: viewing, 7-10 p.m. tomorrow, Spencer T. Videon Funeral Home, Garrett Road and Shadeland Avenue, Drexel Hill; Masonic service, 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home; funeral, 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
