Obituary for Lillian M. Yarnall

Lillian M. Yarnall, a longtime Ventura County, California resident, died Thursday, November 6, 1997 at Simi Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 85.

Mrs. Yarnall was born March 12, 1912, in East Islip, N.Y. She lived in Camarillo the last 19 years of her life after living in Tujunga. Mrs. Yarnall was a retired office administrator. She was a charter member of the Camarillo Eastern Star and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Before moving out west, Yarnall was the founding director of the youth recreation committee in Roselle Park, N.J. She was also a charter member of the Phi Alpha Lambda Sorority.

Mrs. Yarnall is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Yarnall of Camarillo; a daughter, Joan Doolittle of New Jersey; two sons, David Yarnall of Pismo Beach and Roger Yarnall of Simi Valley; a brother, Thomas of Tennessee; two sisters, Beatrice Cole and Selina Vollmer, both of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Islands, Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
