Obituary for Lana Yarnell

Lana Yarnell, a business executive, died of cancer Tuesday, April 15, 1986, at her Mountain View, California home. She was 40.

Mrs. Yarnell, a native of Oakland, earned a degree in psychology from San Jose State University and completed her academic work for a doctorate in communications at Temple University. She was vice president and general manager of Sequent Inc., an executive recruiting firm in Mountain View. Mrs. Yarnell also was active in theater and television, producing a play, "War Stories," in a community theater in San Francisco in 1982 and a music video, "Crystal Horses," for Viacom this year.

She is survived by her parents, Claude and Juanita Elder of Cupertino; a brother, Matthew Elder of Santa Clara; a sister, Janet Elder, and a son, Wayne Liersch, both of Mountain View. The Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 5821 Hope Street, Mountain View, followed by a wake at her home.
