Obituary for Harold Edgar Yarnell

Harold Edgar Yarnell, 83, of rural Centre Hall, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at home. Born May 5, 1916, in Curtin Township, he was a son of the late Clayton Edgar and Eliza Nyman Yarnell. On Oct. 5, 1940, he married Helen Garbrick, who died Aug. 31, 1993. He was a 1934 graduate of Bellefonte High School and had attended Penn State. For 43 years from 1938, he worked at Miller Motor Co. in Centre Hall, retiring as Service Manager in 1981. After retirement he enjoyed his home and property on Mount Nittany. He was a Protestant.

He is survived by a sister, Florence E. White, of Bellefonte and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. The funeral will be private, with Pastor Thomas D. Vance officiating. Burial will be in Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Township. Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, is handling the arrangements
