Moses Yarnall, Book One, Chapter Four

Corrections & Additions to
"A Partial Genealogy of the Name Yarnall-Yarnell 1683-1970"

Page 154 - Goshen MM records show Susanna, 1st wife of Enoch
(of Moses & Dowse) as mother of his children.

Page 155 - Enoch’s son Azel “married by a magistrate” Martha Hibberd.in
1799 (probably in Feb.). Azel appears in Upper Darby Township, Delaware
Co., PA 1800 census with at least two children, a boy and a girl, both under
10 years of age.
Source: Coll. Gen. Soc. of Pa. - Misc. MM Records - Goshen MM
1789-10-9 Azel Yarnall - concerned in a horse race and laying a
wager.
1790-1-8 Azel Yarnall offers acknowledgement which is accepted.
1799 - Feb. Azael Yarnall: Martha Hibberd m. by a magistrate, both
disowned 5-10-1799.

Page 156 - Some data on children of Priscilla Yarnall (dau. Moses and
Dowse) is drawn from "Early Friends Families of Upper Bucks [Co.]",
by Clarence Roberts & Warren S. Ely, 1925.

Page 156 - The 9th child of Enos was, according to 1850 census of Newton
Twp., Delaware Co., Pa., named Jane (not John), and is 16 in that census.
The listing is as follows:
Enos Yarnall, 55, farmer, $6,000, b. Pa.
Mary A., 55, b. Pa.
Thomas, 23, b. Pa.
Jane, 16, b. Pa.
John Yarnall, 26, farmer, b. Pa.
Sarah A., 19, b. Pa.
John Toohey, 22, b. Ireland
Bridget McDermot, 16, b. Ireland

It’s possible, of course, that Jane is wife of Thomas & Sarah A. wife of John, tho I don’t
think it is very likely.

- The children, etc. for Priscella (Yarnnall) & Jesse Heacock are drawn from
“Early Friends of Bucks Co.”, pub. 1925, by Clarence V. Roberts & Warren S. Ely.
