Obituary for Esther Hill Sasscer Yarnall
Source: DeSoto Sun, Arcadia, Florida; Esther Hill Sasscer Yarnall, age 88, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Nov. 29, 1996, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1908, in Upper Marlboro, Md., and came to this area 12 years ago from Lake Wales, Fla. Esther taught Science at the Hyattsville High School in Maryland. She was very active in the Episcopalian Church. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Port Charlotte. Survivors include her son, Reverdy F. Yarnall of Port Charlotte; daughters, Esther Hatchett of Greenville, S.C., Catherine Cant of Upper Marlboro, Md.; sisters, Mary George of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Helen Sliker of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upper Marlboro, Md. Donations may be made, in her memory, to Hospice of Southwest Florida or to Randolph Macon College in Lynchburg, Va. Arrangements are by Paul Schelm Funeral Home, Port Charlotte. |
