| THE LOGO |
| The logo was originally designed with several things in mind. Firstly, the origin of RAROMANA was/ is in New Zealand - hence the silver fern in the background to confirm this.. Secondly, the ties between all Cook Islands music come from all over the world and this is signified by the Cook Islands traditional fish hooks, that are binding and hooking the ties of each culture to ours. Traditional fish hooks were used in the design to signify our traditional instruments which are still been used today. Thirdly, the sounds of Cook Islands music which is heard and recognised in all countries of the globe - hence the ring around the outside. Fourthly, the hooks were also designed to look like musical notes as part of the main purpose of this logo. Lastly, the left hook is a reversed "R" for Raro and the right hook, the letter "M" for Mana. |
