Guild Rules

Welcome to the Rare Item and Paint Brush Giveaway guild. We appreciate you coming to read our rules, that shows that you are a responsible member. Remember, do not break any of the rules! We can tolerate them being broken a few times, but if you continue to break the rules after being told about it numerous times, we have no choice but to issue punishment, which could include suspension or even expulsion from the guild.

1) Whatever you do, do NOT spam on the guild board. Spamming is posting a whole lot of useless messages. If a message is short, it is not necessarily spam, but when you post many two-line or shorter messages and they contribute little to the conversation, it is spam. Spamming would also be begging for things, posting the same thing over and over again, etc. You can talk to each other as much as you like, just don't post messages like "hi", or "lalala", etc.

2) Rudeness is not allowed at all in our guild. If you just have common courtesy and treat others the way you would like to be treated, everyone will be happy. =)

3) If you ask a question or say hello on the board but don't get an answer very quickly, do NOT start posting about how you are ignored, etc. Chances are that someone is typing up a reply as you type about how no one pays attention to you. We -are- only human, so give us some time. There are a few times when the board goes 'dead' and no one is there, so if you find yourself in one of those situations, simply post once and wait to see if someone will come along. If you do wait for a reasonable amount of time and still do not recieve an answer while other people are chatting, chances are that we accidentally overlooked your message, so don't post about how we are purposely avoiding you. Simply ask your question again, or just jump right into the current discussion.

4) Don't start arguements, disputes, or any other kind of negative discussions on the message boards. If someone is being nasty to you, just ignore them. Tell a council member if they were being that bad. Someone else will take care of it for you. If you feel the need to argue, please do it through Neomails, to keep it away from other people trying to talk on the message board.

5) Do not advertise on the board. This includes shops, auctions, trades, whatever. You are more than welcome; however, to have a note about one of these things in your signature or at the end of your post, just so long as you do not post for the sole purpose of advertising.

6) Don't talk about your or anyone else's Neopoints in amounts. If you ask someone how many np they have, that makes you look like a possible scammer. If you tell people how many np you have, you could become a target for a scammer. To keep everyone safe, just stay off of the subject in exact amounts.

7) Do not swear, or use any abbreviations for swear words. (Example: lmao. Try lol instead.) Don't say anything you wouldn't say in front of your mother or younger children.

8) If someone breaks a rule, you may politely tell them and direct them to this page, but do not yell at them! What kind of impression would you get if someone yelled at you for something you didn't even know was wrong? Even if the person was breaking a rule, you could get in trouble as well for yelling.

9) No contests involving items or np are allowed on the guild message board. If you want to have a first to post, guess the name, or some other kind of contest not requiring these things, you are welcome to do so. However, if a council member says that it is not allowed, please don't continue it.

10) Do not send 'I'm bored. Can we chat?' messages to the council. They are too busy to talk with you through Neomail about jibberish. If you want to talk to someone, try the message board.

11) Last but not least, respect everyone in the guild, especially our hard-working council members. If you respect other people, they will respect you in turn, and then everyone will be able to have a good time.

So that was our set of rules for the guild. They're quite simple, basically made up of common courtesy and common sense. If for some reason you aren't quite sure about the meaning of one of the rules, be sure to Neomail one of the council members and ask them about it. It's better to be safe and know than to accidentally break a rule and have to be told about it. Thanks for reading! Now you're ready to check out everything else.
