P. Kenny Burns is a writer/journalist and above all broadcasting and computer geek.  He is a native of the Greater Washington Area.  Born in Washington, DC and raised in Maryland.  He is currently a second year student a Prince George's Community College in Largo, MD.  In addition, he has finished his first year in broadcasting at WTOP-AM/FM as a News Assistant and Assistant Editor.  He had just started his career as a freelance writer/reporter, doing work for the Prince George's Gazette.

He is familiar to many people, particularly as a regular columnist on DCRTV (www.dcrtv.com), a column which he started in March of 1999.  He stopped doing the column in June of 2000 because of conflict of interest issues concerning his job at WTOP.  He still maintains a heavy presence on the internet, producing many successful websites.  He is the producer of Radio and Television Land (kbrtvland.mainpage.net) and Washington DC/Baltimore TV News (www.dcbaltotvnews.com). This year, he put all of his websites under one brand name "Famous Shot Media".  He also placed his two news websites under a division name "Capital Charm Network".

Kenny is still based in the Greater Washington Area, living in Adelphi, MD.  When he was asked,"why would you want to do a Pittsburgh website and your still in DC?"  He simply said that, no one has done it yet and it would be a kick learning about another market.  He also adds that he wants the Capital Charm Network to be more that a brand name, but he wants it to be an information network on either telling people what happened in a market or telling people who on in a market or both.

Welcome to Pittsburgh TV News.  Before I go on, I just want to tell you about this section, "TV NewsWatch Pittsburgh."  The name is based on the concept that each television station has sort of a News Format.  Like at one point KDKA was Eyewitness News and WTAE-TV is Action News.  I thought it would be a great idea to use the same concept only for a website.  In this section, you will find all of the news that your favorite newscasts made in newspapers, and some trade websites.  Plus there are no external links.  We give you the news straight up without making you searching for days on a website.

There are also some other thing that you should know about the website.  The contents which we call "Quick Linx" are at the top of every page.  Instead of having them in some weird place.  Plus, you will find "Cover Page".  That will take you right to the beginning.

Each section is divided by station.  You will find station addresses, phone number, anchor line ups and past news themes.  We are also working on an Alumni List so you can find out where your favorite Pittsburgh personalities are.

Even though I am not physically in Pittsburgh or Western Pennsylvania, I am committed to putting out a quality website.  That is why I have enlisted Eric O'Brien, the producer of PBRTV- Pittsburgh Radio and TV (pbrtv.tripod.com) to help out and consult me as much as he can.
