| No Retreat No Surrender II (1989) Cast:Loren Avedon,Max Thayer.Cynthia Rothrock,Mattius Hues It isn't supposed to be like this! Sequals aren't supposed to be better then a predecessor well I guess with No Retreat No Surrender you cannot do anything but improve,For one thing Avedon is in it and he is always fun to watch in action and he has chemistry with Thayer and the duo make a likable pairing. Of course Rothrock is also impressive as the tough sidekick and she is also great in the action scenes. Of course the movie is not with out flaws the pace shouldv'e been a lot more brisk.......scenes of 'male bonding' between Avedon and Thayer go on far too long and you literly roll your eyes asking when will there be another actionscene? Despite that flaw the movie is good,the action is well mounted and the movie is overall enjoyable. D.Corey Yuen *** |
