The Marksman (2005)

Cast:Wesley Snipes,Emma Samms,William Hope,Matt Salinger

Wesley Snipes this time plays a mercenary sent over to thwart Russian rebels bent on getting a weapon of mass destruction in what has to be the worst movie Wesley Snipes has made in his career.

Ah yes, Wesley Snipes has thrown his hand in the ring to make straight to video actioners and truth be told he's one step below even Steven Seagal.  We live in interesting times indeed when the best straight to video movies come from Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.  For those who thought that I was being nice to
Direct Action and Wake Of Death forget that when compared to cinematic sludge such as all of Wesley Snipes STV movies and the last 3 or so Seagal movies, one can't help but be nice.  Infact at this point any movie that doesn't bore me to tears will earn at least a two star rating.  However The Marksman manages to deliver an ineptitute that even Seagal's awful Submerged didn't trudge.  The Marksman is a relentlessly boring and really cheap production which provides fans of the market with no entertainment value at all. The movie has no life or energy, it simply lies there waiting for the viewer to connect the dots and draw the conclusions that the movie is too lazy to draw for you. Suffice to say this is an ordeal to watch.  I understand that Wesley Snipes has entered the straight to video market with pistols blazing but if this is the best he can  do, we're in serious trouble.
