| Kickboxer 3:The Art Of War (1993) Cast:Sasha Mitchell,Dennis Chan Sasha Mitchell returns as David Sloan who this time goes to Rio to compete in a championship match however along the way he rescues a girl from white-slavery in this utterly hopeless sequel which is so mind numbingly awful it just boggles the mind. Sasha Mitchell for a short time was churning out sequels for franchises that never included him as he is a sequel man, unfortunately for us Kickboxer 3 is one lame piece of crap, never once did an actionscene impress or contain enough energy to really satisfy even the most forgiving martial arts fan. In terms of filmmaking and well choreographed fightscenes Kickboxer 3 is the pits. It's just too bad that Sasha Mitchell who seems to have left his talent back in the 80's is in it because well he just seems so disinterested and shellshocked by the lameness here that he can barely hold his head up, Particularly disappointing is Dennis Chan who had humorous charisma in the first two but now lacks the bite that made his character so likable. Kickboxer 3 is just plain awful no matter how one cares to slice it, there just aren't enough bad things to say about this movie. Although Kickboxer 3 manages one impossible feat, In that King's directing is so pedestrian that he has one pining for Albert Pyun! . D.Rick King * |
