Nelson, Vanity, Sharon Stone, Sonny Landham,Thomas F.Wilson Carl Weathers stars as "Action" Jackson a renegade cop who goes up against a auto tycoon (Nelson) who is wiping out his competition in this brain-dead actioner which certainly has enough stylish action but not an ounce of charisma or style in the script. Carl Weathers unsuccessfully tries his hand at action with disasterous results. Action Jackson is a very stupid movie. Not in the usual Arnold Schwarzenegger way but in a way that prevents one from truly enjoying it. Carl Weathers is alright in the role, but most of the time the movie is just too cliched to be any fun. Action Jackson at it's heart is a buddy movie, but Weathers and Vanity are a woeful mismatch, as Vanity gets more and more annoying as the film goes on (and on) without a novel idea or different setting (Which made Baxley's next two movies I Come In Peace and Stone Cold so fun.)
