Door Panels 73-79 Pickup and 78-79 Bronco
(COMING SOON)
Home     The original door panels on these trucks look pretty good in my opinion, especially for the 70's.  Some of them came with upholstery and trim, some even had door pockets.  It's a very difficult door panel to make due to the design of the door handle and arm rest.  I experimented for months with many different materials to come up with a panel that will fit around the handle hardware.  I have seen custom door panels that look good, but you have to remove the door handles, and sometimes even the window handle (how do you get out!!! open the window?)  Anther thing I see with most custom door panels is that they are installed using "sticky strips," basically double stick tape (NO GOOD).  I have come up with a custom door panel that goes on and off just like the original, no special tape or hardware is needed to install them, and they fit around the door handle and window handle.

Factory door panels, OEM or after market, sell for no less than $120/pair, I've seen them up to $180, they are getting scares in junk yards.  They are also easily cracked, chipped, and scratched, and offer little or no sound insulation.  They have a vents for door speakers that allow drafts to enter threw the door panel whether you have speakers or not.  They have also been known to have rattling problems.  This custom panel will not rattle when installed properly, mostly because isn't plastic.  The 1/2" foam on the panel will make a big difference in the amount of noise entering threw the door.  If you have speakers they can be put into the panel, this eliminates the draft created by the vents in the original door panels.

*This page will be updated with the door panel available soon.*
