Applied Physics laboratory is used by all diploma students in their first year training. Practical training involves measurement and study of physical quantities and properties; this is very important in present day technology which gives enormous importance to exactness and involves interplay between diverse properties of technologically relevant materials. Our laboratory equipment and apparatus, though relevant, lags behind the fast growth of technology. Our laboratory needs immediate modernization. It will give us better and accurate measurement facilities and also will reduce time spent, which can be profitably used to study many other properties, so that the horizons of training can be widened. Thus, the modernization is absolutely necessary to make student up to date with frontiers of knowledge. |
