| The PCGA has grown to become a large non-government organization, with volunteer membership of approximately 19,000 men and women throughout the Philippines. It is divided into ten districts under the command of a National Commander, and within the District Commands there are more than 150 Squadrons. The PCGA has a military structure that is substantially similar and parallel to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The organization is committed in assisting the PCG in securing and promoting safety of life and property at sea and in the protection of the marine environment. Principally, this is the mission ofthe PCGA. |
