No, I have not stopped making zines. [Are you crazy or what?? Me, stop makin' zines? N'importe quoi...]

I've changed the name of my zine again, though. In fact, I decided to go more "themed" and divide my scatter-brained, confusing, packed-to-the-brim one zine into many separate ones. Which are:

Coming very soon:
+ Girl w/Cat
+ Vintage Entries

Some issues out now:
+ The Happy Loner
+ Paraphe

To be launched sometime in the new year 2006:
+ The Zine Gene
+ Arcane
+ lectron Libre

Please update your bookmarks and visit my new site to know all about the new zines!!!! Thanks a lot!!

#15.5: "Meetings" (2nd printing: October 2005) A one-nighter one-shot. I was still working on #16 and I was running out of zines to read and it was still gloomy & chilly out. I checked out zine_scene and there were so many cool zines I wanted to get, but I'm broke and I didnt have anything new to propose as a trade. So I decided to make this mini and in about 5 hours it was done! It tells 3 stories of how I met 3 of my closest friends, with the help of a lost brand-new pager, a digital tape recorder and a pushy phys.ed. teacher ; it's funny and inquisitive and very simply laid-out on the typewriter. Short & sweet. You know what? I'm enjoying making themed issues more & more. Quarter-size, 40pp, 2$

#0 intro issue (4th printing) 2005 updated edition.

An introduction of sorts to my world. Qubec City, the St-Laurent neighbourhood in Lvis, bits of Qubec culture, personal info, habits, people around me, aswell as the revised take on my place in "zine world" in general due to my cultural differences and inexistent local zine scene. A cozy, friendly issue, described by some like "receiving a letter from a penpal". 40pp, 2$

P a r a p h e #1 : unsent letters of the non-scornful kind
Unsent letters written by me:

~ a friendly letter to an ex,
~a note I wrote an ex upon realizing I was living unhappily and headed for disaster and took the decision to change that while watching the "Amélie" movie,
~ a spontaneous happy letter to an ex-lover,
~ a letter I wrote to a 17-year-old boy on whom I had a wild crush when I was 27,
~ a recent letter to my current boyfriend [who is 45] that I forgot to mail and found in a notebook.
Some handwritten, some typed. All in french. 1/4 legal, 32 pp, 2$.

The other Orange & Blue back issues I have left in stock are in french. I also have a limited amount of Ingleside News back issues from 1998 available [#1-5] aswell as issues #9-11, #13 & #14 in french. If interested in FRENCH back issues or REAL OLD back issues click here

The original french edition of #16, "Departure of a Prince" has been achieved in September 2005, after over a year of hard work. It's about the loss of my cat, Malenikiy [see notice below]. At first I intended to translate it into english, but I am sorry to say I will not be able to do this. It has been too much of an emotional drain to go through and I do not find it in myself to have the strenght to relive it all. Plus, I did this mostly for me, as a cathartic effort aswell as a piece of remembrance & tribute to my faithful companion, and even though some readers have been expecting this issue in english, I do not feel an obligation, and cannot impose on my already aggrieved soul the obligation, of having to go through the whole process to re-read, translate, and delve in this for several months again. I am turning the page on this painful chapter. This is where I am now on my path. I am mostly giving a copy to people I know who care, and that's it. If you can read french, and absolutely want a copy, it's 8$. E-mail-me first or write me to make sure. It is 180 pages long, half-size. Salmon pink cover with black silk ribbon, powder blue inserts. This is a limited-edition issue, when they're all gone, I wont reprint them. This issue is not available for distro.

It's been a year and a half.

And no, I dont have a "new" cat yet. I'm thinking of it, seriously, but I'm just not quite there yet. I'm preparing. It is coming. But I feel I still have a little way to walk alone yet.

~~~~~
Malenikiy, my every-minute side-kick, my helper in the mailroom, my consolation and joy, an animal of superhuman, genial keen-ness. Friendship at its finest, loyalty personified in his green gold-specked eyes. Ten thousand miles we travelled together, on trains, planes, cars & buses. 2 apartments, one house, 3 Christmases. So many smiles through your eyes. He was like my son. R.I.P mon Bb.
I'd like to thank everyone who's expressed support and sympathy, either my friends, livejournal friends, people from zine_scene and other zine communities, distro owners, other zinesters and readers... it's like everyone knew Malenikiy personally, and that really meant something to me.
Again, thanks everyone and please keep in touch.
