Sun Region is sponsoring a correspondence course for all of the Sun Region Chapters. We've decided t do "Swiss Sampler", a beautiful piece by Ilse Altherr. It is described as "a compilation of patterns and motifs garnered from a 1665 sampler housed in the Landesmuseum, Zurich, Switzerland". It is worked mostly in double running stitch and long-arm cross stitch as well as simple cross stitch. Students have the freedom to adjust the size of their samplers to suit their individual taste." You can see a picture of it in the 2009-2010 Education Catalog, or go on-line to the EGA National Website. Sun Region will pay the teaching fee, students will be responsible for the text ($32.50), supplies ($25 or les), and shipping (approximately $5). The procedure for applying to the region for the class will be forthcoming. The class start is anticipated for March. So sign up toay, write a check to your primary chapter for $37.50 (to cover text plus estimated shipping), and start drooling!
