Christmas + 2.
For Christmas I got Redhat 8.0 the hub / cable I wanted. I installed Linux
8.0 on my computer the 25th. Except I couldn't really get Windows to work
so popped in the Windows CD in. But the partition was only 2 gigabytes. So
I reloaded Linux. It works better then when I copied Redhat 7.1 from the
college. So I'm not afraid of trying new things. I even opened up the cache
to see if the modem was working. It was and it took me 2 days after Christmas
to figure out that I typed in the wrong dial up for my modem. Oops. My dad
got the Band of Brothers DVD Collection so I watched the first 4 parts with
him. I also got the 20 GB portable MP3 player I wanted.

Merry
Christmas to all the people who have been on this
website. Today I played alittle Super Mario Sunshine.
Earned a few stars. Then switched over to Resident
Evil zero. I been playing this game for 2 days
now. I haven't even got into a hour into the
game yet. The graphics are really cool. I don't
think the man hunger zombies count for some
of the beautiful art work. But this is the first
resident evil game that had co-op (2 characters
working together to do the same thing) I don't
know. It's interesting. I like it.
I
was looking at TigerDirect and saw this deal on
Processors/Motherboard combos. At first I thought
it was this another one of those 400 dollar plus
deals but I could get a Athlon XP 2.2 Ghz Processor
/w Motherboard for a steal -- $380 /w tax. Doesn't that
wanna make you drool?
My
family had a good get together at my cousin's house.
She cleaned up the house nice. Her husband is
the kind of guy that would collect Model Cars.
He had his collection of over 60 cars. The
most popular was the 1969 T-bird. What would
Christmas be without "The Night before Christmas
dolls." I was little surprised that they had
2 book shelves full of CDs where right
my our hosts home surround sound system. But
owning all those CDs is the hard and expensive
way to get the songs you like. Sherrie and
Jeff could save tons of money if they burned
music to disc. If they had a high speed connection
and downloaded songs in mp3 form, it would pay
for itself 3 times over. Good there's
a lot of bands that are sell outs. Not that
a lot of their music isn't good. Most bands I listen
too that sold out have 2 or 3 good songs in their
arsenal.
I
ate a lot of mashed potatoes -- delicious! Didn't
get any presents though (I think that's because
I am never around relatives and they simply didn't
know what I needed.
Last
day of school before Christmas Break. For some reason
my memory doesn't work too well in math. Those
problems [ A squared x B squared = C.] Simple
Alergra to most people are simple. I got to
know the calculator very well. I forgot
the entire book since I took it 2 years ago. Now
it's another grade. I changed my webpage to
look more professional. I'm suppose to get
a webcam from bob half priced. He broadcasted
his through a modem. Since then I thought why
not broadcast myself? So I watched him do
weird things. I got someone's opinon at
school and he said that this page looked a bit
better then my previous index. Not that it matters
to most people.
I
also got the new Resident Evil Zero for the
Nintendo Gamecube.
First
of all I am done with my computer class
at River Falls. I liked the feeling I got
when I was around college students earning
a techician degree in something. The
place I went to wasn't at all crowded.
I did good on some things and not so
well on others. I really couldn't study
appropriately. Which is probably some
bull-shit I've created in my mind. You
can do what ever you believe in. That
was a fear I had because I have trouble
fitting in. I bought a copy Popular
Science - 21 Century Soldier.
I think the weapons now a days are kick
ass. They have the new military standard
-- M-249 which can fire 20 bullets
per second. In all it can fire 900 continuously.
One thing that's always stunned me in
the military is the F-22 Raptor aircraft.
Also in the book is some outlines of
future aircraft carriers and the fact
that future marines will look like
the Swat Team with mini rockets. Explosive
can cover more range. The military
probably found a way to mass produce rockets
cost efficiently.
In
class I wasn't really talking to anyone.
Yet I swung back and whispered, "Hey
what's everyone doing?" Everyone at
school want's to go see Lord
of the Rings : The Two Towers
when it comes out next Wednesday.
I looked at reviews on the web and found
that it's suppose to be successful.
But another feeling tells me that this
film won't be what everyone's watching
in 5 years. It's doesn't seem like it
but the movie will be something
that comes and pasts
The
past few days where a about preparing for
tomorrow's test on everything I covered in
DOS/UNIX commands. The test tomorrow will
consist of 50 questions. I almost know
I'm going to past which is a good thing
because the test is worth 5 points on
my final grade. That is if I get a
"B" my grade will move up 3 points.
The Linux Commands are the easy part.
DOS is the difficult part. The best
way to study is looking over the sheets
for 30 minutes. Anyway's I was downloading
SNES games off the web. I played a
little of Final
Fantasy V. It's a good game. The game
was never released here in the US because
it was too old. But it was released
on the Playstation in 1999 in Final
Fantasy Chronicles.
I rented Final Fantasy VII and it made me
think of Final Fantasy VI and VI. I never
got into Final Fantasy VII but the setting looked
above average.
So
I downloaded all SNES Final Fantasy games and
played them. I also found King's
Quest full download from a developer
devoted to bringing back the series.
My official link above. I don't know
if this over rates my website but I
added a new flash to the top. I know
it looks nice and my page is about 75 KB
now in total so it's not a very long
wait for modem users.
More
extremely good news for Gamecube owners.
It sounds like Legend of Zelda
- Ocarina of Time
is getting a Gamecube re-make! LoZOoT 2.0 is
suppose to be the best platform game for
Nintendo 64. For those who played it, I
think they would agree with me. The game
is due sometime next mid-year.

Today
made history. On Dec. 06, 2002 a 18 year
old received one of the highest awards that
he ever got -- a drivers permit. I
answered 44 out of the 50 questions correctly.
He celebrated by watching Star Trek
: The Next Generation and eating
Tombstone.
