The Dominica operations became back in 1992 through the services of an Agent. It soon became apparent from the rapid growth of the client base and operational difficulties by the Agent that NAGICO would have to open its own Branch Office. And so, in 1994, the Branch was open at its current location. Over the years the business grew and then slumped through a period of bad management and poor underwriting.
A new, young manager, Vibert Williams, joined in November 2001. He brought with him creativity and energy and through aggressive marketing, effective advertising and sponsorships, outstanding support from Head Office and local staff and motivated agents, the Company began showing improvement. In September 2002, a move was made to Portsmouth (the other town) and a Branch Office was set up with Emmanuel Nanthan as Manager and two staff members. This Branch remains today a very vital part of the Dominica operations.
NAGICO Dominica is well on its way to accomplishing the goals we set for ourselves.
